“I had two principal reasons for taking some coursework: 1. I needed the stimulation (I spend about three days/week caring for my aging mother.) and something ‘else’ to think about, 2. my prior college days were riddled with and impaired by my AD/HD (which I didn't know I had until a few years ago), so this was a chance to prove to myself that I could actually apply myself and make some decent grades — which I have been, happy to say.”

“I've now taken three psychology classes, all of which have been different in structure and format, challenging/stimulating, and rewarding. Plus, and unexpectedly, I now have the opportunity to pursue some independent study following my work in Psychology 515. Looking forward to it! (And see last question.)” |

“Pat Connor has been an absolute delight and MOST helpful assistant in getting these processes rolling. Comprehending the web links has been a new challenge, but I've prevailed and have enrolled on my own a couple of times now.” |

“All of the instructors have been excellent. Of special note, especially when I think back to my college days (B.A. in Journalism '70), is the care they have taken to get the material across to the students and their accessibility. Their dedication to students and their courses is apparent and most welcome.” |

“I was VERY concerned about my student/academic abilities when I began working with Pat Connor last summer. (I didn't spend much time studying back in the ‘old’ days ....) Pat was very understanding from the start … patient and supportive and realistic. It's been wonderful knowing that I have someone (via CEd) I can call on for help and advice. Pat's been very responsive — sort of a coach/cheerleader in my corner.” |

“My AD/HD wasn't diagnosed until I was 51, and it was quite a shock to learn that I had it — certainly explained my long history of underperforming and my difficulties in the workplace.
“About a year and a half ago I began getting very interested in the neurology of AD/HD. Hence, I've been taking psychology courses to expand my knowledge. Whether or not I'll actually pursue a degree is still up in the air, but at least I'm getting some solid foundation for ... whatever ... and certainly engaging the little gray cells in the process. Going back to school has been an excellent choice for me. I plan to continue this schooling for quite some time.” |
