"I graduated in 2004 from The Ohio State University with a major in criminology and a minor in sociology. I’m currently going back to school in autumn 2008 to pursue a second bachelor’s degree in history of art. Since graduating in 2004, I have worked in education, including admissions and financial aid."

"The growing need to provide adults with educational options appealed to me in regards to working in the Office of Continuing Education. College is not just about serving the typical 18–22-year-old anymore, and I find that to be a very positive aspect of Ohio State."

"What I enjoy most about this department is the opportunity to guide and assist students who have little to no college background and help them take the step into higher education."

"I would tell them to have confidence in themselves. If they’re even thinking of returning to school, they have made a big first step and should be excited for themselves! Many students are apprehensive about coming back to school after many years of being out of school, and many worry about their ability to do college-level work. A common fear I have seen in admissions is that adult students do not think they can get back in the school mode. A lot of times they just need a little bit of extra motivation and some confidence, and that’s where our staff comes in."

"As Dr. E. Gordon Gee says, “Learning is K through life.” It’s wonderful that you can never learn too much or learn it all. That’s what makes education exciting."

"I love to interact with students. Even if a question isn’t specifically related to admissions, I love to help in any way I can and encourage students to contact me for any help that they need. If I don’t know the answer, I will find out!"
