Invitation to the International Conference on Plant Vascular Biology, 2010

Dear Colleagues:

You are cordially invited to participate in the International Conference on Plant Vascular Biology 2010 (PVB 2010) to be held July 24-28, 2010 on the campus of Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA. PVB broadly covers studies on the biogenesis, structure and function of transport systems in plants, under conditions of normal plant growth and development as well as of plant interactions with pathogens. The transport systems broadly include the xylem, phloem, plasmodesmata and vascular cell membranes. The PVB concept has emerged in recent years to emphasize the integrative nature of the transport systems and approaches to investigate them.

PVB 2010 will bring together junior and senior researchers working on various aspects of PVB (structure, biogenesis, signaling, proteomics, genomics, nutrition, biomass, plant-biotic interactions, etc) from around the globe to share the latest findings, develop collaborations and identify new directions of research.

You will discover that PBV2010 will be an exciting scientific and personal experience. Ohio State University has a very diverse and vibrant research community in plant sciences and all other disciplines of biology. The city of Columbus and the state of Ohio offer diverse and rich recreational options in culture, history and nature.

We look forward to welcoming you to Columbus in 2010!
