Learning Objectives:

Overall objective of this course is to develop further skills in hearing, comprehension and speaking Japanese in diversified situations.

Course Outline:

Week 1: Place and Location
a) Where some things are; on top, at the bottom, next to and others.
b) Ask questions about whereabouts and how to get there.
c) Reviews of interrogative pronouns.

Week 2: How and where to purchase tickets
a) Where do you go to buy tickets of all kinds? How do you ask about them? How do you ask about plans and schedules?
b) Are you secure about verb tenses?

Week 3: A reading review
a) How do you telephone? What do you say in Japanese when you pick up the telephone? What conversations will ensue?; samples

Week 4: How do you entertain guests?
a) What do you say when you are visiting someone's office or home?
b) Supplements

Week 5: Discussion of what you have seen;
a) A movie, theater, an exhibition or a famous place in Japan
