Generally, students who are eligible for admission to CEd meet these requirements*:

  • They hold a high school diploma or a GED
  • They are 24 years of age or have had at least a four-year break between high school and applying for admission to Ohio State through CEd, or they are in a degree-granting program at another university and wish to transfer Ohio State credit back to that program
  • They have a minimum of a 2.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • They are in good standing with other colleges or universities attended.
*(There are exceptions to these general guidelines, so if you have a question, see your CEd Admissions Counselor.)

Ready to get started? Just return a completed application form (click here for the form) and, if you haven’t been admitted to Ohio State in the past, pay the $40 application fee. We’ll be in touch with you to follow up. You also may make an appointment with an academic advisor by calling (614) 292-8860. The CEd office is on Ohio State’s west campus at 152 Mount Hall, 1050 Carmack Rd., with convenient parking. Get directions to our office.
