General Information

The Office of Continuing Education's (CEd) Conference Management specializes in providing meeting and conference management services—from pre-conference concept to post-conference follow-up—on a cost-effective basis to the university community, as well as to private and public businesses and associations. Whether your event is a conference, workshop, meeting or symposium with a national, statewide or local audience, the Office of Continuing Education’s (CEd) Conference Management Services is your perfect partner for getting the job done.

We provide dozens of essential services—including PCI compliant online registration—that are designed to seamlessly help you control your costs, impress your attendees and simplify your job as host.

Facilitating Outreach and Engagement

Our comprehensive conference management programs help facilitate outreach and engagement throughout central Ohio and the nation. Our expertise is available to the university community, organizations, associations, and businesses.

We’ll create a package of services customized for you and based on your specific needs and budget. Our menu of services includes:

Conference Management & Development

  • Determine your conference goals & objectives
  • Identify your potential audience
  • Design an appropriate conference structure and format to meet
  • educational objectives
  • Develop a plan and critical event timeline
  • Assist in site selection
  • Negotiate and coordinate with facility on meeting space, overnight accommodations, food and beverage and audiovisual needs
  • Confirm meeting setup and food functions
  • Contract for transportation services
  • Process CEU applications

Fiscal Management Services

  • Develop your conference budget
  • Secure purchase orders for facilities and suppliers
  • Recommend registration fees
  • Monitor income and expenses
  • Prepare preliminary and final financial reports
  • Transfer balance and/or fiscal activity to appropriate accounts
