For Ohio State classes, payment with cash, check, credit card (Mastercard, Visa, or Discover), 100-W (Ohio State faculty and staff), or a purchase order, “PO,” must accompany registration. 

Deadlines:  The registration deadline is seven (7) calendar days prior to the start of a class.  Registrations received after the deadline will be charged a $15 late fee. You will be sent a registration e-mail acknowledgment.

Cancellations/Refunds:  A full refund, less a $35 processing fee, will be issued for cancellations received at least three business/working days before a class in which you are enrolled begins. Participant substitutions may be made at any time. If a class is cancelled by the Office of Continuing Education or FIRSTLINK, registrants will receive full refunds.

Transfers:  Transfers among classes will be made if the transfer is requested at least three business/working days before the initially scheduled class.

Discounts:  Discounts of 10 percent will be given to FIRSTLINK employees, Ohio State faculty, staff, and alumni and people over 60 years of age.  An individual is entitled to only one discount per course.

Parking:  Ample parking is available and parking permits are included in the course fees for classes held on The Ohio State University West Campus located near Lane Ave. and Kenny Road.

Located in downtown Columbus, classes at FIRSTLINK are held at 195 North Grant Ave.  Metered parking is available on streets around the building on Grant, Naughten, 5th, and 6th streets, so arrive early for best parking and do not park in the front parking lot.

Textbooks:  Textbooks are required for some courses. Textbook information will be e-mailed to you with the registration acknowledgment.  Textbooks are available at Barnes & Noble, The Ohio State University Bookstore, 1598 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43201, (614) 247-2000.  Ask for the Continuing Education section.

Disability Accommodations:  Please call at least five (5) business/working days prior to the scheduled class. The university does not honor State of Ohio disability parking placards or disability license plates. Winter Alert!:  In the event that The Ohio Sate University closes due to severe weather, all classes in the Office of Continuing Education and FIRSTLINK will be cancelled for that day.
